Handira Azrou

This new Handira comes from Azrou, a town nestled within the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains.  It was hand-loomed using classic cream and black wool, with hints of sage green, on a cotton warp.  These handiras are traditionally worn as capes (for warmth) by the Berbers.  These striking handiras are perfect as rugs and bed coverings, and look wonderful draped over a couch or chaise longue.  Ever versatile, they can also be hung on the wall as a tapestry.  Measures approximately 3'2” x 5’9” with 7” tassels on one end and 5” tassels on the other end.
