Moroccan Black Soap

Our Moroccan Black Soap, also known as Beldi soap, is an all-natural dark greenish-brown creamy paste made from macerated olives and eucalyptus oil.  It has been used for centuries as a go-to-beauty product, helping rid the body of toxins and healing skin ravaged due to stress, sun exposure, extreme cold, and more.  An essential in Moroccan hammams, black soap prepares the skin for exfoliation, while the essential oils provide relaxing and respiratory properties.  To use, take a warm bath or shower to open your pores and soften your skin.  Do NOT use any other soap or shampoos beforehand; regular soap and shampoo create a residue barrier on the skin that interferes with the way Moroccan black soap works. Moroccan black soap must interact directly with your natural skin surface for exfoliation to work properly.  Thoroughly massage a thin layer of black soap all over your body with your hands (avoiding your face and sensitive areas). Please note that Beldi soap does not foam/lather.  Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to give the olive paste time to soften your skin and prepare it for exfoliation.  Then rinse off with warm water, and exfoliate your skin using long firm strokes with a crepe Kessa glove (can be purchased here, too).  You’ll see dead skin peel away - this is normal.  Rinse again and moisturize as normal.  Sold in 150g jars.  Store away from direct heat or light.
