Our mini wood bowls are hand-carved by skilled artisans in the port city of Essaouira. Made from Thuya wood, each piece is unique. Perfect for serving nuts or candies, they also make lovely pinch bowls for spices. Food aside, they are also a great catchall for paperclips, coins, or rings! Sold individually. Measures approximately 3.25” in diameter x 1.5” high.
Thuya wood is a rare wood that comes from coniferous trees indigenous to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. What is especially interesting is that the coveted wood comes from the burl buried in the ground, and not from the trunk. Thuya wood is known for its cedar-like aroma, luxurious colour, and swirly grain.
