Wood Tray - Oval (3 sizes)

These striking oval wood trays were hand-crafted by skilled artisans in the port city of Essaouira.  Made from thuya wood, each piece is unique.  Three sizes, (approximately):

Small - 12.25” long x 8.25” deep x 1.5” high

Medium - 13.25” long x 9.25” deep x 1.5” tall

Large - 14.5” long x 10” deep x 1.5” tall

Thuya wood is a rare wood that comes from coniferous trees indigenous to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. What is especially interesting is that the coveted wood comes from the burl buried in the ground, and not from the trunk.  Thuya wood is known for its cedar-like aroma, luxurious colour, and swirly grain.
