Oued Zem (Layla)

This striking kilim from Oued Zem, a city in the Middle Atlas Mountain region of Morocco, was hand-loomed from cream and black wool, on a cotton warp.  It’s a light-weight piece that packs a punch with its colour blocking design.  Can be used on the floor, on a bed or sofa as a covering, or as statement wall art. Measures approximately 3’4” x 4’11”, with 3.5” braided tassels on one end.
